I visited the codex for wordpress yesterday and saw the front page populated/injected with chinese characters linking to a particular website, I checked on Firefox, Chrome and IE to make sure it is not an issue with my PC or cookies.

But today it seems all has returned back to normal. Check out the screenshot I took yesterday.
